As a HSE Advisor - Logan Water, you will have the unique opportunity to work both on and off-site, this role requires a blend of office work and site visits, providing you with a dynamic and engaging work environment.
About the role
In this role you will:
- Provide practical HSE leadership and support across a diverse portfolio of construction, maintenance and operational works.
- Partner with frontline leaders and crews to embed safe work practices, critical risk controls and a positive safety culture.
- Conduct site inspections, audits, field observations and assurance activities to verify the effectiveness of critical controls and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Support incident reporting and investigations, identifying lessons learned and driving effective corrective actions that prevent recurrence.
- Ensure compliance with WHS legislation, client obligations and Downer management system requirements.
- Analyse safety performance data, prepare reports and identify trends, insights and opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Build trusted relationships with delivery teams, providing coaching, guidance and practical solutions that support safe, efficient and successful project outcomes.
- Proactively identify and reduce risk by partnering with operational leaders, clients and key stakeholders to strengthen planning, improve systems of work and enhance operational resilience.
- Operate as an integrated and enabling member of the delivery team, working alongside supervisors and crews to remove barriers, manage risk and support the safe, efficient and successful delivery of work.
- Influence safer outcomes through visible field leadership, constructive challenge and meaningful engagement with workers in the moments that matter.
- Drive collaboration between delivery teams, delivery partners and business stakeholders to achieve shared safety, operational and project objectives.
- Champion a culture of learning and continuous improvement by supporting innovation, sharing lessons learned and helping teams implement practical and sustainable solutions.
