HSEQ manager

The Health, Safety, Environment & Quality (HSEQ) Manager leads the HSEQ Team and is responsible for maintaining a compliant EOS Defence Systems Quality Management System (QMS) thereby ensuring customer confidence in our processes and products. The role is fully responsible for business unit Quality systems and implements H,S&E systems in support of the corporate H,S&E framework.
The HSEQ Manager will also lead the development of the Management Systems to achieve certification against Environmental (ISO 14001) and Occupational Health and Safety (ISO 45001) requirements if required. The HSEQ Manager will also evolve the Quality System from compliance against ISO 9001 to AS9100 if required.
This is a 12-month Full-time Fixed term position to cover parental leave based at Hume, Canberra.
Primary Duties:
Executive Control over EOS’s QMS, internal product & process standard and system compliance impacting customer, production & supplier quality.
Develop and maintain a World Class Quality Organization, provide a risk-based Quality Management System culture, maintain and achieve site qualification consistent with global strategy, Direct Root Cause, Corrective Actions and provide a Quality Face to the Customer.
Implement and integrate environmental and occupational health and safety into an Integrated Management System.
Maintain compliance with our Management System processes.
Maintain Key Performance Indicators (KPI) in accordance with our Management System.
Work with the business to focus on continual improvement.
Ensure our processes and documentation aligns with and meets our contract requirements.
Develop & train staff on how to resolve Root Cause and develop Corrective Actions for Supplier Quality, Production Quality, Customer issues and other issues.
Develop strong liaisons within the company to ensure organisational alignment and focus on Quality across all functions.
Seek cross functional alignments to further the profitability and Compliance Culture for EOS.
Other duties as required by direct Manager and other relevant stakeholders.
Key Attributes:
Minimum 3 years’ experience in similar capacity.
Recognised qualification in applicable field of study
Works cooperatively with teams and individuals.
Establish and maintain strong Interpersonal skills.
Ability to lead outcomes and deliverables systematically
