Howmet Aerospace is currently looking a HR Generalist to join our Casting Facility located in Dover, New Jersey.
Anticipated Pay Range: $80k-$100k per year. *Pay rates within this range are determined based on various factors including experience, education, certifications, etc.

JOB SUMMARY
Under the guidance of the Sr. HR Manager, this position provides HR operational support for multishift manufacturing group of approximately 900 non-union employees. The Human Resources Generalist manages and supports a broad range of HR functions, including recruitment, employee relations, benefits administration, compliance, and performance management, ensuring smooth HR operations across the organization.
ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH & SAFETY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Expected to assist in the implementation of Howmet Aerospace’s value and policy statement and its accompanying principles;
- Comply with all department, facility, Corporate and Regulatory EH&S regulations;
- Wear all required personal protective equipment;
- Report all job-related illness and injuries. (Per employee handbook);
- Report all Safety, Health & Environmental concerns to your supervisor in a timely manner;
- Attend all EH&S training.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Recruitment and Onboarding: Drafting job descriptions, posting openings, conducting interviews, and facilitating new employee onboarding.
- Manages the HRIS System including processing onboarding for new hires, promotions, terminations
- Employee Relations – Addressing employee concerns, mediating conflicts, supporting managers with performance improvement plans, and maintaining a positive workplace culture
- Prepares and extends offer letters for all non-agency hires
- Maintains list of sign-on-bonuses and payment date
- Manage and participate in job/career fairs including college recruitment efforts
- Assists employees applying for all internal job postings
- Support all other HR initiatives as needed
- Perform other assignments as required
Apprentice Program
- External – Lead external apprentice program & Interns.
- Internal – Develop internal apprentice program focused on (Machinists, Mechanics/Electricians, Automation Techs and Engineering Techs)

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

A minimum of 3-5 years of Human Resources/recruiting experience.
Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, psychology, or a related field;
Excellent computer skills – MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
PHR, SPHR & MBA are a plus;
Human Resources Generalist experience in a Manufacturing environment.
Strong ability to multi-task and connect at all levels in the organization
Strong project management skills
Experience working with Excel, Oracle HRIS
Excellent communication/presentation skills
