Position Summary: As a Human Resources Intern, you will gain hands-on experience across multiple areas of HR while supporting the day-to-day operations of Dynamic Aviation's Human Resources team. This role provides exposure to recruiting, onboarding, benefits, compliance, employee engagement, and workforce analytics while completing meaningful projects that contribute to an organized, compliant, and positive employee experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Provides administrative support to the Human Resources team, including filing, scanning, shredding, organizing records, preparing documents, and maintaining confidential employee information
Assists with HR audits, including I-9 documentation, benefits records, employee files, retention requirements, and other compliance-related documentation
Supports recruiting activities by reviewing applications, scheduling interviews, communicating with candidates, and conducting phone screens
Assists with new hire onboarding activities, including preparing onboarding materials, reviewing documentation, and supporting new hire orientation
Supports benefits administration activities while gaining an understanding of employee benefit programs, enrollment processes, and benefits-related documentation
Assists with HR reporting, data collection, and analysis related to workforce trends, retention, turnover, benefits, compliance, and other HR metrics
Supports employee engagement initiatives by assisting with the planning, setup, execution, and follow-up of company events, wellness activities, recognition programs, and other employee engagement efforts
Assists with maintaining accurate employee information and HR documentation within the Human Resources Information System (HRIS) and other HR systems
Supports HR compliance activities while gaining exposure to employment laws, company policies, recordkeeping requirements, and HR best practices
Assists with special projects, process improvement initiatives, research, and other HR programs as assigned
Provides assistance to employees with day-to-day interactions and questions
Maintains confidentiality and appropriately handle employee, candidate, and company information
Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

Currently pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Management, Psychology, Communications, or a related field
Interest in developing a career in Human Resources
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet established deadlines
Ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team
Demonstrated professionalism and ability to maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive information
Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
Willingness to learn new systems, processes, and areas of Human Resources

Preferred Qualifications

Previous internship, administrative, customer service, or office experience
Previous coursework in Human Resources, employment law, business, data analysis, or a related area
Experience with Microsoft Excel and data analysis
Familiarity with Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) or applicant tracking systems
Interest in recruiting, benefits, HR analytics, compliance, or employee engagement

Additional Requirements

Minimum availability of 10 hours per week
Internship may be completed for academic or class credit in accordance with the student's educational institution requirements
Ability to maintain confidentiality when working with employee, candidate, benefits, and company information
Ability to occasionally assist with company events outside of the primary office environment

Working Conditions

Fully on-site position
Internship hours must be completed Monday through Friday between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, with a minimum commitment of 10 hours per week
Primarily office-based with frequent collaboration with Human Resources employees, managers, employees, candidates, and other departments
Frequent use of computers, HR systems, Microsoft Office applications, electronic records, and physical employee files
May occasionally support engagement, wellness, or company events in other areas of the Dynamic Aviation facility or at off-site locations

Pay: $12.77 per hour.
