Position: HVAC Project & Start-Up Technician
This position is ideal for an experienced HVAC professional who enjoys installing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and ensuring commercial HVAC systems operate at peak performance.
As an HVAC Project and Start-Up Technician, you will play a critical role in bringing new and retrofit HVAC projects online while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot commercial HVAC systems
- Perform equipment start-up, testing, and commissioning
- Work with Hydronic, Steam, Chilled Water, DX, Forced Air, Heat Pump, VAV, Constant Volume, Exhaust, Heat Recovery, and Sheet Metal Duct Systems
- Diagnose and resolve HVAC and mechanical system issues
- Perform preventive maintenance on HVAC equipment
- Verify proper system operation and performance during start-up activities
- Calculate and apply CFM, BTU, HR, GPM, PSI, and duct sizing requirements
- Follow project installation drawings, specifications, and procedures
- Maintain accurate project documentation and records
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and PPE requirements
- Maintain tools, equipment, and materials necessary for project success
- Work collaboratively with customers, vendors, and fellow team members
