HVAC Technician

Job Description

An HVAC Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. They perform regular maintenance to ensure that systems operate efficiently and safely. They also diagnose and repair problems with HVAC systems, including electrical and mechanical components.

Responsibilities

• Install new heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems
• Inspect and perform regular maintenance on HVAC systems
• Diagnose and repair problems with HVAC systems
• Replace faulty or outdated HVAC components
• Respond to emergency repair requests
• Keep accurate records of all maintenance and repair work
• Ensure that all work is performed in compliance with local and national codes and regulations

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of an HVAC training program or apprenticeship
• Valid HVAC technician license
• Experience with installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC systems
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
