Job Summary:
The Industrial Engineer will be responsible for ensuring effective flow across the JPS organization in our Anderson, SC facility. This position will report directly to the Director of Manufacturing while working closely with the plant leadership team.
Responsibilities:
- Review current production schedules and processes to find potential improvements to the planning process and production costs.
- Monitor product flow and implement changes to the processes to increase productivity and quality standards.
- Evaluate current manufacturing practices, manage production schedules, and improve efficiency and Quality
- Enforce quality control to reduce waste
- Assist the Business System Leaders (Statesville Leadership team) with projects as needed
- Assist leaders in driving safety, quality, delivery, cost and inventory metrics in their respective areas, and help establish measures of success.
- Participate in root cause, corrective action process as needed and ensure that business is conducted at the highest level of integrity
- Support Human Resource initiatives across the business (engagement activities and career fairs)
- Adhere to company, federal, state, and local business requirements, enforcing compliance and demonstrate high integrity in all aspects of business
- Maintain and build trusted relationships with peers, key customers, clients, partners, and stakeholders
Requirements:
- BS/BA Degree required in related field
- 0-2 years of experience in an Industrial Engineer role or similar preferred; new graduates with relevant internship experience are encouraged to apply
- Experience in 6 Sigma Training / Experience preferred
- Ability to navigate complex, matrixed organizations with multiple projects
- Travel as needed, up to 20% to our sister plant in Statesville, NC
