Infrastructure Engineer
About the Role:
Proactive and technically skilled Network Infrastructure Engineer to support and manage the organization's enterprise network infrastructure across offices, data centers, cloud platforms, and external connectivity services. Responsible for ensuring the availability, security, performance, and reliability of critical network services that support business operations, trading platforms, and cloud connectivity.
The engineer is hands-on, customer-oriented, and passionate about maintaining a stable and secure infrastructure environment while continuously improving network operations through automation, best practices, and innovation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and maintain enterprise network infrastructure to ensure high availability and optimal performance.
- Perform daily network health checks and proactive monitoring using enterprise monitoring tools.
- Manage and support firewalls, routers, switches, load balancers, VPN services, and cloud networking components.
- Administer enterprise connectivity services including WAN, leased lines, AWS Direct Connect, SGX connectivity, Internet circuits, and cloud-based network services.
- Investigate and resolve network incidents, outages, and performance issues within agreed service levels.
- Implement network changes, upgrades, and maintenance activities following established change management procedures.
- Perform firmware upgrades, patch management, vulnerability remediation, and configuration maintenance activities.
- Review and implement approved firewall policies, network security controls, and connectivity requests.
- Maintain accurate network documentation including diagrams, inventories, operating procedures, and support records.
- Coordinate with vendors, service providers, and technology partners for troubleshooting, maintenance, and project delivery activities.
- Support infrastructure modernization initiatives, technology refresh projects, and business expansion requirements.
- Participate in disaster recovery testing, infrastructure resiliency reviews, and business continuity initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with internal governance standards, cybersecurity requirements, and regulatory expectations including MAS TRM guidelines.
- Contribute to operational excellence initiatives through automation, process improvements, and continuous service optimization.
- Participate in after-hours support, maintenance activities, and major incident response when required.
Required Qualifications:
- Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 3 years of experience supporting enterprise network infrastructure environments.
- Strong understanding of routing, switching, TCP/IP, WAN technologies, VPNs, and network security principles.
- Experience managing enterprise firewalls, switches, routers, load balancers, and network monitoring platforms.
- Experience supporting cloud networking and connectivity services.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills with the ability to resolve complex infrastructure issues.
- Excellent documentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced IT operations environment.
