Senior Infrastructure Engineer

Role Overview:

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Infrastructure Engineer with a strong and balanced technical background across network infrastructure, server & storage systems, multi-cloud environments, and DevOps engineering. The ideal candidate will possess deep hands-on expertise, strong architectural leadership, and the ability to drive end-to-end infrastructure modernization, automation, security, and operational excellence.

This role requires a minimum of 10+ years of overall IT infrastructure experience, including 5+ years in cloud architecture and DevOps, with proven leadership in designing, building, and governing complex hybrid and cloud-native ecosystems.

Key Responsibilities:

Cloud & Infrastructure Architecture

  • Design secure, scalable, and highly available multi-cloud architectures (AWS required; Azure/GCP an advantage)

  • Define and govern architecture standards, frameworks, and best practices across cloud, network, compute, storage, and security domains

  • Lead cloud adoption, migration, modernization, and hybrid integration initiatives

  • Architect containerized and serverless workloads (Docker, Kubernetes/EKS, Lambda, Step Functions)

Network Infrastructure

  • Design and optimize enterprise and cloud network architectures: VPC, Transit Gateways, Direct Connect, VPN, Load Balancers, WAF, routing, and segmentation.

  • Work with on-prem LAN/WAN, firewalls, DNS/DHCP/IPAM, and network security.

  • Collaborate with network engineering teams to ensure seamless cloud-to-on-prem integration.

Server, Virtualization & Storage

  • Lead the design, deployment, and operations of compute platforms (VMware, Hyper-V, EC2, bare-metal systems).

  • Manage enterprise storage architectures (SAN/NAS, backup, archival, object storage).

  • Oversee performance optimization, capacity planning, and system hardening.

DevOps & Automation

  • Lead the design and implementation of CI/CD pipelines (GitLab preferred, GitHub/Azure DevOps as plus).

  • Champion automation using IaC (Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible).

  • Implement SRE/DevOps practices: observability, monitoring, incident response, and reliability engineering.

  • Ensure automated provisioning, configuration, and policy enforcement across environments.

Security & Governance

  • Implement cloud and infrastructure security controls: IAM, KMS, SIEM/monitoring, security baselines, and compliance frameworks.

  • Collaborate with security teams to drive zero-trust, identity governance, and audit readiness.

Leadership & Collaboration

  • Act as the technical escalation point for complex design, performance, or production issues.

  • Mentor infrastructure, cloud, DevOps, and operations engineers.

  • Work closely with application, security, and network teams to deliver integrated, end-to-end solutions.

  • Provide architectural guidance, documentation, and executive-level presentation support.

Required Skills & Experience:

Technical Competencies

  • Cloud Platforms: Strong expertise in AWS; exposure to Azure/GCP ideal.

  • Networking: VPC, routing, load balancing, firewalls, VPN, DNS, network security.

  • Compute/Storage: VMware/virtualization, enterprise storage, backup/recovery, OS hardening.

  • Container & Orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes, EKS.

  • DevOps: CI/CD (GitLab preferred), GitOps, release automation.

  • IaC: Terraform (preferred), CloudFormation, Ansible.

  • Programming/Scripting: Python, Bash, or PowerShell.

  • Monitoring/Observability: CloudWatch, CloudTrail, VPC Flow Logs, OpenTelemetry ecosystem.

  • Security: IAM, KMS, encryption, cloud network security.

Certifications

  • AWS Solutions Architect (Professional required; Associate acceptable if near completion)

  • Additional certifications in Azure, GCP, Kubernetes, or Security are advantageous.
