Inside Sales Representative

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Carry out responsibilities in accordance with established organizational policies and procedures, regulatory requirements, and applicable laws.
  • Create prospects, route to appropriate Product Specialist, and provide quotation status.
  • Prepare standard quotations for appropriate sales person.
  • Conduct compliance checks for both quotations and orders to ensure compliance.
  • Review Rig Systems orders to confirm all Minimum Booking Requirements are met.
  • Provide Sales Order Acknowledgement to sales.
  • Provide Sales Order information (delivery, documentation, shipping, etc.) to sales.
  • Assist with developing & implementing continuous improvement processes and procedures establishing best practices.
  • Build & maintain positive, professional business relationships with internal & external customers.
  • Provide management with regular updates related to specific accounts and area of support.
  • Perform other work-related tasks as assigned.
  • Comply with all NOV Company and HSE policies and procedures.

FACILITY/GROUP SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Respond to incoming inquiries to provide price, lead time & technical information to both external and internal clients.

  • Prepare and submit quotations within established departmental response time.

  • Check availability of components and consult with the operations team to provide accurate lead times.

  • Process customer purchase orders in accordance with both stock availability and project delivery requirements.

  • Maintain accurate electronic records for all sales transactions in accordance with departmental procedures.

  • Coordinate with Outside Sales, identify opportunities to upsell spare parts at the point of capital equipment sale.

  • Identify opportunities to increase aftermarket revenue through cross-selling, upselling, and customer engagement.

  • Obtain technical clarifications from Engineering team as required and communicate these to the customer.

  • Collaborate with Finance to resolve accounts receivable and customer billing issues.

  • Respond to all client communication in a prompt and professional manner.

  • Perform all duties in accordance with the Quality Assurance procedures and department/area work instructions.

  • Perform all duties safely and in accordance with procedures, training, and instruction.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma, GED, or an equivalent combination of education and experience required.

  • Associate's or bachelor’s degree in business or a related field preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook, required.
  • 2-3 years of customer service experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems.
  • Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems such as Epicor, SyteLine, Sage, SAP, Omega, or similar platforms.
  • Ability to understand business needs, objectives, and key operational drivers.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver effective solutions that create value for both the organization and its customers.
  • Proven ability to quickly learn and adapt to new products, technologies, processes, and changing business requirements.
  • Strong analytical thinking, sound judgment, and problem-solving skills with the ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Collaborative team player who fosters open communication, shares knowledge, and works effectively across cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives.
  • Ability to take ownership of issues, manage conflict professionally, and drive timely, positive resolutions.
  • Strong customer-focused mindset with excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to effectively interact with both internal and external customers.
  • Product knowledge of wireline/slickline intervention equipment is preferred.
