Installation Technician (NexGen - Breathitt County)
Location: Jackson, KY (and surrounding service area)
Job type: Technician Internet Installation (1099 Contractor)
Schedule: Flexible – contractors are expected to provide a minimum of 3–4 days of availability per week. Technicians must submit their availability approximately 10 days in advance.
Pay: Pay is per completed job. The average technician is paid around $1,000 per week, with weekly payouts. Established technicians can earn over $50,000 annually.
Sign-On Bonus: $1,000 after successful completion of the first 100 jobs. A technician can typically complete two jobs per day.
- Example: At 4 days per week, completing 2 jobs per day, a technician would finish 100 jobs in approximately 12–13 weeks (about 3 months).
Responsibilities/Requirements:
- Install and service residential and/or commercial internet equipment.
- Perform light manual labor as needed for installation.
- Travel within assigned service area to customer locations
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license.
- Dependable work truck or van capable of transporting installation tools and equipment.
- Ownership of basic hand tools and a 20-foot (or taller) ladder.
- Ability to pass background screening.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and commitment to safety.
- Prior installation or technical experience preferred, but training may be provided.
