Instrumentation & Control Engineer

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise installation, testing, commissioning, and handover of Instrumentation & Control (I&C) systems in accordance with project specifications and contract requirements.
  • As Consultant, ensuring contractor compliance with approved drawings, method statements, quality standards, and HSE requirements.

  • Review and approve I&C-related shop drawings, material submittals, RFIs, method statements, ITPs, and commissioning procedures.

  • FAT, SAT, loop checks, functional testing, and commissioning activities for PLC, SCADA, RTU, telemetry, and field instrumentation systems

  • Monitor contractor progress, identify technical issues, and recommend corrective actions to maintain project schedules.

  • Coordinate with Civil, Mechanical, Electrical disciplines to ensure successful system integration.

  • Review inspection reports, calibration certificates, testing records, as-built drawings, O&M manuals, and commissioning documentation.

  • Participate in site inspections, progress meetings, and technical coordination meetings with clients and contractors.

  • Prepare progress reports and provide technical support to the Resident Engineer and Project Manager.

  • Ensure successful commissioning, performance testing, and final acceptance of I&C systems for water and wastewater infrastructure projects.

Qualification:

B.E. Instrumentation & Control

10 - 15 years

Experience on Siemens, Rockwell Automation, PLC and Emerson DCS, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel etc.), is must.

Experience on WTP / STP Middle East region project.

Knowledge of International standards like ISA, BS, IEC, NEMA

Good Communication skills, Presentation Skills, Learning Attitude, good grasping power and should be a good team member.
