Integration Engineer

You will design and implement scalable integration architectures that connect Legion's workforce management platform with HR, POS, Payroll, and other enterprise systems. You'll develop secure and efficient REST APIs within Legion's API-driven ecosystem, ensuring high-performance and reliable integrations using modern cloud platforms. You'll collaborate closely with architects and engineers on design reviews and code quality, while acting as a trusted advisor to customers on integration strategy. You'll lead architecture and design sessions, manage multiple customers and competing priorities, and occasionally travel to customer sites. You'll build deep expertise in Legion's product and integration ecosystem, identify and report bugs, and write secure, enterprise-grade integration code. You'll also mentor junior engineers, contribute to best practices and documentation, and help drive continuous improvement across the integration team.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement scalable integration architectures connecting Legion with HR, POS, Payroll, and other enterprise systems
  • Develop secure and efficient REST APIs within Legion's API-driven ecosystem
  • Ensure high-performance, reliable integrations using modern cloud platforms
  • Engage with architects and engineers for design collaboration and code reviews
  • Improve development practices and stay ahead of agile software engineering trends
  • Act as a trusted customer advisor, providing expert guidance on integration strategies
  • Lead architecture and design sessions to customize and optimize integrations
  • Manage multiple customers, balancing competing priorities effectively
  • Build long-term relationships, ensuring seamless integration adoption and support
  • Travel occasionally to customer sites as needed
  • Gain and maintain deep knowledge of Legion's product and integration ecosystem
  • Identify, report, and prioritize product bugs and enhancements
  • Stay updated on new releases and enhancements to drive product adoption
  • Write secure, enterprise-grade integration code using leading platforms and technologies
  • Conduct peer code reviews to ensure code quality and maintainability
  • Share expertise and mentor junior engineers, fostering a culture of knowledge-sharing
  • Contribute to integration best practices and internal technical documentation
  • Support process improvements and advocate for scalable, sustainable integrations
  • Commit to high-quality work, setting personal and team objectives aligned with organizational goals

Requirements

  • 7+ years of business/information/solution/technical architecture experience
  • Graduate of a university with a Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant STEM field, including Information Systems, Engineering, Computer Science, or another relevant degree
  • Must be able to work as a team player, yet can work independently
  • Analytical, results-driven, and have a solution-oriented approach
  • Possess exceptional interpersonal and English communication skills, including verbal, written presentation, and listening
  • 3+ years of experience with event-driven Architecture and Microservices
  • Demonstrated deep technical expertise in Integration technologies and protocols such as HTTP, HTTPS, FTP, SFTP, SOAP, REST, JMS, JDBC
  • Experience using Linux/Unix environments
  • Demonstrated experience in the design and implementation of scalable integration solutions with integration platforms such as Workato, SAP BTP Integration Suite, Dell Boomi, Jitterbit, SnapLogic
  • Strong experience with Java/RESTful web services
  • Exposure to agile software development leveraging toolsets (e.g., Jira, GitHub, Jenkins)
  • Demonstrate knowledge and experience with CI/CD processes and tools
  • Proven track record of using problem-solving / root-cause analysis
  • Workforce management integration experience preferred
  • 2+ years of experience using AWS technologies such as AWS CDK, Cloud formation, S3, ECS, EKS, and EC2 preferred
  • Experience with SAP products such as SAP SuccessFactors, Business Technology Platform (BTP), Integration suite, extension services, and SAP S/4 preferred
