POSITION SUMMARY
The Intermittent Monitoring Technologist is directly responsible for patient monitoring and support throughout the recording period, working collaboratively and professionally with staff to ensure high-quality patient care and recording integrity. This role emphasizes thorough patient checks, accurate documentation, and minimal-error technical troubleshooting, and embodies the culture and values of Synthesys Brain Health in every interaction with patients, staff, and partners. This is a remote, weekend, night-shift role (covering second and/or third shifts). Compensation includes a $1.00/hour shift differential for second shift, and a $2.00/hour shift differential for third shift, applied to all hours worked on those respective schedules.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Monitor up to 12 patients per CPT intermittent monitoring standards, prioritizing thorough checks so no shifts or tasks are missed.
  • Document recording/video concerns, equipment issues, and impedances at each monitoring check.
  • Troubleshoot equipment and recording integrity remotely, with or without patient or clinical team involvement, and ensure timely follow-up.
  • Make daily patient calls for skin and event checks, when appropriate.
  • Complete setups, disconnects, battery changes, and maintenance verifications per policy, including remote battery changes and memory card swaps.
  • Document and report skin condition incidents and early disconnects via email; provide immediate follow-up documentation and communicate incidents to Department Directors.
  • Provide end-of-shift reports to incoming Technologists.
  • Assist staff with positive interpretation of patient changes.
  • Participate in performance and quality improvement activities and maintain ongoing training and skills development.
  • Adapt to fluctuating schedules according to departmental needs.
