Moving rail freight and sleeping in your own bed every night? This local Class A CDL position in Harrisburg, PA hauls intermodal loads in and out of the area’s rail yards, with 2-5 loads a day on familiar routes. Pay is activity-based with plenty of add-ons, you’re home daily, and the company covers your hazmat endorsement costs.

• $0.62–$0.67 per mile
• $88 per stop
• $57 per drop/hook
• $45 per driver unload
• $40 per hazmat load

Schedule & Home Time

• Home daily.
• Available shifts:

• Start times between 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM.
• Better shifts offered as they become available, based on seniority.
• Christmas off.
• Tractor stays at the terminal while you're off.

Routes & Freight

• Intermodal loads to and from Harrisburg, PA rail yards.
• 2–5 loads per day.
• Priority loading and unloading at the yards.
• No NYC routes.

Equipment

• Manual and automatic trucks available.
• Average truck age: approximately 2 years.
• Slip seating.
• On-site management and full-service maintenance.

Endorsement Requirement

• Hazmat endorsement required within 60 days of hire.

Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL.
• Minimum 3 months of verifiable Class A CDL experience.
• No SAP drivers.
• Clean driving record.
• Valid DOT Medical Card.
• Hazmat endorsement within 60 days of hire.
• Able to drive manual or automatic trucks.
• Non-smoker.
