Intern-Merchandising and Supply Chain

Orgill is seeking students actively enrolled in college or university who want hands-on experience applying the skills and knowledge they have developed through their studies. As a summer intern at Orgill, you will have the opportunity to work with emerging leaders and experienced professionals across merchandising and operations at the world’s largest independently owned hardlines distributor.

The Merchandising & Operations Intern will gain hands-on experience supporting merchandising, product, supply chain, and operational initiatives that help Orgill serve its customers and drive business performance.

The intern may have the opportunity to contribute to areas such as merchandising, product management, supplier relationships, inventory, purchasing, supply chain, operations, pricing, category management, and business analysis. Assignments will be based on business needs and the intern’s academic background, skills, and career interests.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support merchandising and operational projects within an assigned functional area.
• Assist with product, category, inventory, or supplier research and analysis.
• Gather, organize, and analyze data to support business decisions.
• Assist with reporting, presentations, spreadsheets, and other business materials.
• Support product assortment, pricing, category, or merchandising initiatives as assigned.
• Assist with inventory and supply chain analysis.
• Research market trends, products, competitors, and industry practices.
• Support supplier and vendor-related activities as applicable to the assigned team.
• Assist with identifying opportunities to improve processes, efficiency, or customer support.
• Collaborate with merchandising, operations, supply chain, and other business teams.
• Participate in meetings, project planning, and cross-functional initiatives.
• Help maintain accurate product, supplier, or operational information and documentation.
• Participate in professional development opportunities, lunch and learns, and intern activities.
• Complete a meaningful project or assignment that contributes to the goals of the assigned team.
• Follow applicable company policies, procedures, and business practices.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program at an accredited college or university.
• Pursuing a degree in Supply Chain Management, Merchandising, Business Administration, Operations Management, Marketing, Economics, or a related field.
• Able to commit to the full internship program from June–August 2027.
• Ability to work onsite at our Collierville Home Office for the duration of the program.
