Role PurposeThe Internal Sales Manager is responsible for driving sales growth of smoke alarm and fire safety products through proactive account management, pipeline development, and sales forecasting. The role leads internal sales activity using Salesforce CRM to manage opportunities, improve conversion rates, and increase spend from low-value or underperforming customer accounts.
The position combines sales leadership, customer relationship management, forecasting, and commercial analysis to maximise revenue and customer retention.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Revenue Growth
Drive sales of smoke alarms and associated fire safety products to existing and prospective customers.
Identify opportunities to increase customer spend through upselling and cross-selling.
Proactively contact low-spending, dormant, or underperforming accounts toincrease revenue and engagement.
Develop targeted account plans to grow key customer segments.
Salesforce CRM & Pipeline Management
Manage and maintain an accurate sales pipeline using Salesforce.
Ensure all sales opportunities, activities, and customer interactions are accurately recorded.
Monitor pipeline progression and conversion rates.
Use Salesforce dashboards and reporting to analyse performance and identify sales opportunities.
Forecasting & Reporting
Produce weekly and monthly sales forecasts.
Analyse sales trends, customer buying patterns, and pipeline health.
Deliver accurate forecasting to support inventory planning and commercial decision-making.
Report on KPIs including pipeline value, win rates, customer spend growth, and account activity.
Account Management
Build strong customer relationships via telephone, email, and virtual meetings.
Regularly engage with low-spending accounts to understand barriers to purchasing and identify growth opportunities.
Manage customer quotations, pricing discussions, and order follow-up.
Resolve customer concerns and coordinate with operations or customer service teams.
Team & Commercial Support
Support and coach internal sales staff where applicable.
Work closely with external sales representatives and marketing teams.
Contribute to sales campaigns and product promotions.
Skills & Experience Required -Essential
Experience in B2B internal sales or account management.
Strong experience using Salesforce CRM.
Ability to manage sales pipeline and forecasting.
Proven ability to grow customer accounts and increase spend.
Strong telephone sales and relationship-building skills.
Excellent analytical and reporting skills.
Commercial awareness and target-driven approach.
Desirable Experience
Experience selling smoke alarms, compliance products, or fire safety solutions.
Knowledge of fire safety legislation or compliance markets.
Experience in customer segmentation and account reactivation.
