Build a web-based analytics tool for semiconductor backend sites using React, Node.js, and SQL to monitor and optimize manufacturing processes.
The Unit Process Excellence team is focused on establishing frameworks and standardizing processes for all backend sites to optimize efficiency. As part of this mission, we are developing a standardized analytics tool that will enable data‑driven decision‑making across all backend sites. This tool will serve as a unified platform to monitor, analyze, and sustain operational excellence while ensuring scalability and consistency across the sites. The selected interns—one Data Analyst and one Full Stack Developer—will actively contribute to building this solution and maintaining existing tools. Together, their work will play a pivotal role in transforming backend operations into a cohesive and efficient system, driving innovation and continuous improvement.
Your Role- Application Development: Design, develop, and implement scalable analytics tools for backend sites using modern web technologies.
- Backend Engineering: Create and maintain backend APIs and databases to securely and efficiently store and retrieve performance metrics.
- Frontend Development: Implement user‑friendly, responsive interfaces to improve usability for operational teams.
- System Maintenance: Troubleshoot, update, and maintain existing solutions to enhance usability and performance.
- End‑to‑End Project Experience: Gain hands‑on experience contributing to a high‑impact industry‑grade analytics project from development to deployment.
- Data‑Driven Problem Solving: Build expertise in data‑driven problem‑solving and process optimization within a real‑world manufacturing context.
- Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Learn to collaborate effectively in cross‑functional teams while aligning technical solutions with business objectives.
- Technical & Project Skills Enhancement: Strengthen technical and project management skills through exposure to advanced tools, technologies, and methodologies used in backend manufacturing.
- Education: On track to attain a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Computer‑related course with a research‑oriented mindset.
- Programming Knowledge: Solid understanding of front‑end and back‑end programming languages and frameworks (e.g., JavaScript/React for frontend; Node.js, Django, or Flask for backend).
- Database & API Proficiency: Proficient in working with databases (SQL/NoSQL) and APIs for seamless integration.
- Cloud & DevOps Exposure: Experience or understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and version control systems (e.g., Git) is highly beneficial.
