Position Summary:
We are looking for an analytical, process-driven Inventory Data Analyst to lead our product data migration from ABM to Cin7 Core and maintain ongoing multi-channel product governance.
This role serves as the critical technical and operational link across our core commercial systems—Cin7 Core, Shopify, Ordermentum, and Xero. You will own product attribute mapping, data cleansing, compliance standards, and supplier cost structures, while helping onboard and support non-technical staff adapted to offshore collaboration.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Phase 1: ABM to Cin7 Core System Migration
Lead the end-to-end product data migration from ABM to Cin7 Core, ensuring zero data loss and accurate field mapping.
Systematically cleanse, standardize, and enrich catalog items, including SKUs, units of measure (UOMs), pack sizes, barcodes, variants, and product images.
Capture and manage detailed product compliance data, such as Safety Data Sheets (SDS), dangerous goods classes, allergens, shelf-life specs, and GTIN/GS1 standards.
Phase 2: Multi-Channel Synchronization & Ongoing Governance
Manage real-time, error-free catalog and pricing synchronization across Cin7 Core, Shopify, Ordermentum, and Xero.
Maintain supplier price files, oversee new item setup, manage discontinued lines, and maintain replacement product mappings.
Enforce categorization standards, style guides, approval workflows, and digital asset specifications.
Process Documentation & Team Support
Author standard operating procedures (SOPs) and technical documentation tailored for non-technical internal teams.
Act as a key point of contact to train, support, and guide onshore staff through offshore workflow integration.
Proactively identify data discrepancies, flag operational bottlenecks, and implement continuous process improvements.
Desired Attributes, Skills and Experiences:
Essential Experience & Technical Skills
Cin7 Core Expertise: Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience using Cin7 Core (formerly DEAR Inventory), including direct involvement in system implementation or migration projects.
Advanced Data Cleansing: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, particularly VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, bulk import/export formats, and data validation formulas.
Product Architecture Knowledge: Strong understanding of product data structures, including SKU configurations, barcodes, units of measure, product variants, kits, and multi-tier pricing strategies.
Research & AI Tools: Practical experience using web research, web scraping, and AI-powered tools to source, verify, and enrich product specifications and catalog data.
Communication & Collaboration: Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, with a proactive and confident approach to asking clarifying questions, identifying discrepancies, and resolving issues.
Schedule Availability: Full availability and responsiveness during Australian Eastern Daylight Time (AEDT) business hours.
Desirable Qualifications
Experience in wholesale distribution, e-commerce catalog management, or foodservice and packaging supply chains.
Hands-on experience with Shopify, Ordermentum, or Xero integrations.
Knowledge of product compliance requirements and indicators, including HACCP, allergen information, shelf life, storage temperature classifications, and logistics dimensions.
Experience supporting Australian-based teams, particularly those transitioning to or working with offshore team structures.
