Summary

Investigative reporter/MMJ produces 2-3 in-depth news stories weekly, handling reporting, shooting, and editing while collaborating with the news director.

Iowa's News Now is looking for an Investigative Reporter/MMJ. We are looking for someone who can dig deeper into stories turning 2 to 3 pieces a week. This position requires close communication with the news director. Your responsibilities will include reporting, shooting and editing news stories, enterprising story ideas, developing contacts, as well as other responsibilities as assigned.

Skills and Experience:

  • Sharp news judgment
  • The ability to tell an NPPA style story
  • Excellent technical skills
  • The ability to work well independently
  • Must have and maintain a valid license and a good driving record

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 2-3 years reporting experience is required
  • Experience with live shots is a plus
