About the role
This role sits within the core mobile squad, working alongside other engineers to deliver a seamless experience across their native and hybrid apps. You’ll have the opportunity to build out a robust, scalable platform while developing new features in a fast-paced and rewarding environment. It’s a hands-on role with real autonomy - you’ll lead end-to-end feature architecture, maintain code quality, and help mentor other members of the teams.

About You
You’ll bring solid experience building mobile apps with Swift and SwiftUI, and will have a good understanding of mobile fundamentals. You take pride in writing clean, maintainable code and enjoy collaborating with product specialists and designers to solve complex problems. Most importantly! You’re curious, empathetic to user needs, and enjoy an environment where you can take features from initial concept right through to production release.

You’ll ideally have:

  • At least three years’ experience building mobile apps using Swift and SwiftUI

  • Experience with automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and GitHub

  • Knowledge of feature architecture, design patterns, and code reviews

  • A collaborative mindset with a willingness to learn or review Android code (no prior Android experience required!)

What’s in it for you?
You’ll be joining a company that genuinely values its engineers and gives them room to make an impact. Expect plenty of autonomy, modern tooling, and a team that enjoys solving problems together. You’ll also have:

  • Supportive work environment with a strong team culture (weekly lunches, Friday drinks, regular events, etc)

  • Competitive salary and ongoing performance-based remuneration reviews

  • The chance to shape and scale a platform used by thousands across New Zealand

  • Professional development support, including training and conferences

  • Paid parental and wellbeing leave + Employee Assistance Programme

Note: To apply for this position, you must currently hold a valid New Zealand work visa, or be a NZ Resident or Citizen. We are unable to consider applicants who do not meet these criteria.
