iOS Developer

We are looking for iOS Developer, who has the energy to be part of a start-up.

About our client:

A backed consumer startup building a new category between social video and gaming: a mobile app with a feed of playable games that anyone can make from a single text prompt. Users scroll an endless feed of games, play them instantly and create their own. The product is live on the App Store and growing fast. This role sits in our Sofia office, working closely with our London team.

About the role:

This is a hands-on iOS engineering role, with no management responsibilities. You'll build and ship features in our native iOS app alongside our existing iOS engineer, working closely with Android, back-end (Go), product and design.

You'll report to our senior iOS engineer, with some day-to-day oversight from the project manager. It's an early, high-impact role on a fast-growing consumer product.

You will:

• Build new features in the iOS app, from onboarding to the feed to game creation

• Keep scrolling, game loading and playback fast and stable

• Work with the Android engineer so features ship on both platforms

• Integrate analytics and support A/B testing

• Handle App Store releases and compliance updates

Your qualifications:

• 3 + years of professional iOS development

• Strong Swift, with experience in SwiftUI and/or UIKit

• Apps you've shipped and maintained in the App Store

• A solid grasp of performance, memory and networking on iOS

• Comfortable in a fast-moving startup with a small team

• Good English for working with the London team

Really nice-to-haves:

• Experience on a consumer (B2C) app, ideally one close to ours: short-form video or social feeds, games, or creator tools

• Experience with WKWebView, or embedding web content and games in native apps

• Experience with analytics / attribution SDKs (e.g. Singular) and A/B testing

• Startup background. An iGaming or betting background is welcome too.

The recuitment process:

1. Recruitment video meeting

2. Intro call with our senior iOS engineer

3. Technical interview with our iOS engineer

4. Final round with leadership: offer discussion, with an optional office visit

For you:

• Colleagues who are passionate building from scratch

• Compensation: €4,200-€5,200 net per month. No equity.

• Contract: full-time employment contract, 20 days paid leave

• Location: on-site at the Sofia office, with 2 remote days per month

• Hours: core hours 10:00-16:00, with 2 hours' flexibility either side (anywhere between 9:00 and 18:00)
