iOS Engineer
Role overview:
We are hiring for a fast-growing technology company building advanced digital identity and verification solutions used across multiple industries. Their platform enables secure, scalable, and seamless user verification, helping organizations reduce fraud while delivering a smooth customer experience.
We are looking for a senior iOS engineer to take ownership of our mobile application experience on iOS. You will play a key role in designing, building, and optimizing high-quality mobile features, ensuring performance, scalability, and an exceptional user experience.
This role requires strong expertise in native iOS development, a product mindset, and the ability to collaborate closely with cross-functional teams.
Location: Hybrid in Cairo (3 days onsite)
Contract: Full-time or long-term contract
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop high-quality iOS applications using modern Apple frameworks
- Own end-to-end feature development, from requirements to production release
- Collaborate with product managers and designers to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions
- Ensure high performance, responsiveness, and reliability of the application
- Optimize app performance, memory usage, and load times
- Maintain clean, maintainable, and well-documented code
- Identify and resolve bugs, edge cases, and performance bottlenecks
- Contribute to architectural decisions and best practices for mobile development
- Ensure compliance with Apple guidelines and accessibility standards
- Participate in code reviews and mentor junior engineers where needed
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in iOS development
- Strong proficiency in Swift and the iOS SDK
- Experience with UIKit and/or SwiftUI
- Solid understanding of mobile architecture patterns (MVVM, MVC, Clean Architecture)
- Experience integrating RESTful APIs and handling asynchronous data flows
- Strong knowledge of performance optimization, memory management, and debugging tools
- Experience with version control (Git) and CI/CD pipelines
- Familiarity with mobile security best practices
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment
