iOS / UI Engineer

The Role:

Pure is building social gaming. We are a small, fast-moving team in New York, currently 10 full-time engineers, and we care deeply about how our product feels to use.

This role is focused on UI above all else: you will implement Figma designs and make them alive, turning static designs into polished, interactive product UI. Integrating designs and building features is one of the most important roles at Pure. How the product looks, moves and responds is central to the experience, so this work sits at the heart of what we build.

You will work closely with design and engineering, owning UI features from Figma handoff through production, with a focus on the app and social layer:

• Groups and feeds

• In-game chat

• Onboarding and user profiles

Location: New York, NY (in-office).

You will:

• Implement Figma designs as polished, interactive, pixel-perfect product UI

• Bring designs to life with motion, transitions and thoughtful interaction details

• Own UI features from design handoff through production

• Work closely with designers to refine flows, states and edge cases

• Raise the bar for UI craft, consistency and performance across the app, moving fast on whatever UI work needs to get done

Qualifications:

• BS or equivalent in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, or a related field — recent graduates (2023–2026) encouraged

• Some hands-on development experience: internships, full-time roles, and/or personal projects

• A strong eye for detail, particularly on frontend/UI implementation, motion and overall user flows

• Willingness to work in-office full-time in New York

• A strong work ethic and comfort operating in an environment with ambiguity

Experience in React Native, React Reanimated, Swift, and Expo is recommended. TypeScript, React Native, SQL, and AWS are relevant to what we build. Poker knowledge is not required.
