IoT Engineer (SWAT)
- IoT Integration Support: Assist in the seamless integration of IoT hardware with software systems to ensure optimal device performance and reliability.
- IoT Collaboration: Work closely with the IoT team to integrate devices with MEP and recommend improvements to device functionality and integration.
- Device Communication & Debugging: Troubleshoot and debug IoT device communication issues, including analyzing communication flows, packets, bytes, and hexadecimal data.
- IoT Protocol Analysis: Analyze and work with communication protocols such as MQTT, LoRa, Bluetooth, and Wi-Fi to support device integration and troubleshooting.
- IoT Documentation: Create and maintain IoT device documentation, including command formats, byte information, communication protocols, and device data, and translate technical information into readable formats.
- Data Processing: Process and analyze raw IoT/device data to understand how the data is structured, communicated, and transformed into usable information.
- Software Development: Develop high-quality software, tools, and applications using clean, efficient, and maintainable code.
- Software Design & Architecture: Contribute to software design and architecture decisions for scalable IoT-related services and applications.
- Service Ownership: Make informed technical decisions quickly and take ownership of services and applications at scale.
- Code Review: Review and debug code to ensure quality, reliability, and maintainability.
- Problem Solving: Act as a persistent and creative problem solver when handling technical challenges and unexpected issues.
- Crisis Handling: Remain calm, analytical, and effective when troubleshooting critical issues or working under pressure.
- Minimum High School / Vocational High School (SMK) graduate.
- Educational background in Engineering, preferably: (Electrical Engineering,Computer Engineering, Informatics Engineering or a related field)
- 3–6 years of relevant experience in IoT, embedded systems, software development, device integration, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of electrical circuits, voltage, and hardware components.
- Strong programming skills in at least one of the following: C / C++, Python, TypeScript, Golang
- Strong understanding of debugging and troubleshooting, particularly for hardware-software integration and device communication.
- Strong experience in low-level TCP packet analysis, including understanding binary, bytes, and hexadecimal (hex) data.
- Familiarity with IoT systems, device integration, and communication protocols, such as: MQTT, LoRa, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi
- Understanding of socket programming and network communication.
- Familiarity with relational databases and SQL is a plus.
- Experience with containerized platforms is a plus.
- Able to understand, process,and transform raw IoT/device data into readable and usable information.
