About the Role
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Network Engineer to join our technology team and take ownership of complex enterprise networking initiatives.
The successful candidate will have strong hands-on expertise across enterprise networks, data centre environments, routing and switching, network security, and SD-WAN. You will be responsible for delivering reliable and scalable network solutions while providing technical leadership across implementation, troubleshooting, transformation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
This position will suit a network professional who is comfortable working in large and complex environments and can engage effectively with technical teams, customers, stakeholders, and technology vendors.
What You’ll Be Doing
Design, implement, and maintain highly available enterprise network infrastructure across LAN, WAN, WLAN, MPLS, SD-WAN, and Data Centre environments.
Manage network deployment and transformation initiatives from planning and implementation through to optimization and operational handover.
Support the adoption of automation-driven networking, including Cisco ACI, SD-WAN, policy-based configuration, and automated provisioning.
Act as a senior technical escalation point for L3/L4 incidents, complex network issues, and critical service disruptions.
Perform detailed troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and corrective action planning for recurring and high-impact network issues.
Ensure network solutions meet requirements for availability, performance, scalability, security, capacity, resilience, and disaster recovery.
Work collaboratively with internal teams, customers, stakeholders, and vendors to deliver network projects and operational improvements.
Perform network health assessments, capacity planning, performance monitoring, and proactive optimization.
Establish and maintain technical standards, implementation procedures, governance, and networking best practices.
Identify opportunities to improve network reliability, automation, operational efficiency, and overall service performance.
Technical Background
Required
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Networking, or a related discipline.
6+ years of experience in enterprise network engineering, design, architecture, implementation, and delivery.
Strong knowledge of routing, switching, enterprise networking, network security, and infrastructure technologies.
Practical experience with data centre networking and SD-WAN solutions.
Proven experience working on complex network implementations, upgrades, migrations, or transformation programs.
Desirable
Experience with network observability, telemetry, and monitoring platforms, including tools such as Splunk and ThousandEyes.
Exposure to large-scale network migrations, transformation programs, or greenfield implementations.
Experience working across multi-vendor environments, including Cisco, Juniper, F5, or similar technologies.
Understanding of ITIL, service management, governance, and operational frameworks.
Industry-recognized networking certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, F5, Juniper, or equivalent.
