About the role
The IT Business Analyst acts as the primary liaison between business units and the IT/development team. You are responsible for eliciting, analyzing, documenting, and validating functional and technical requirements to design, test, and implement reliable IT solutions.
Key responsibilities
Conduct interviews, workshops, and process mapping sessions with stakeholders to capture business and system requirements.
Write clear user stories, functional specifications, process flowcharts, and system requirement documents (using tools like Jira or Confluence).
Work with software engineers, architects, and vendors to design scalable IT or application solutions that match business objectives.
Create test plans, execute test cases, and coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to verify that deliverables meet quality and business standards.
Track project milestones, manage change requests, and facilitate Agile/Scrum ceremonies (daily stand-ups, sprint planning).
Extract data or build basic dashboards (using SQL, Excel, or Power BI) to support operational decision-making.
