IT Business Analyst

Salary: ₱90,000 – ₱100,000 per month

We are looking for a skilled IT Business Analyst to join our team and support technology-driven initiatives in the banking and financial services industry. In this role, you will work closely with business stakeholders, product owners, project managers, developers, QA teams, and other IT professionals to translate business requirements into clear, actionable technical specifications.

You will play a key role in analyzing business processes, identifying system enhancements, documenting requirements, and supporting the delivery of secure, efficient, and customer-focused banking solutions. From requirements gathering and system analysis to testing and implementation, your work will help ensure that technology initiatives align with business objectives, regulatory requirements, and operational needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Requirements Gathering and Analysis: Facilitate stakeholder interviews, workshops, and discovery sessions to identify, analyze, validate, and document business and technical requirements.

• Business and Technical Documentation: Prepare and maintain Business Requirements Documents (BRDs), Functional Specifications (FSDs), use cases, user stories, process flow diagrams, and other business analysis deliverables.

• Business Process Analysis: Assess existing banking processes, identify operational gaps, perform gap analysis, and recommend process improvements and system enhancements.

• Stakeholder Collaboration: Coordinate with business users, product owners, developers, QA engineers, project managers, and third-party vendors to ensure alignment between business requirements and technical solutions.

• Solution Design and Validation: Translate business needs into functional requirements, support solution design discussions, and validate that proposed solutions meet business and operational expectations.

• Testing and Quality Assurance: Develop and review test scenarios and test cases, support System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT), validate results, and coordinate defect resolution.

• Project Implementation Support: Assist with change requests, implementation planning, requirements traceability, release documentation, and post-implementation validation.

• Banking Compliance and Risk Awareness: Ensure requirements consider applicable banking policies, regulatory requirements, data privacy, information security, and operational risk controls.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.

• At least 3–5 years of experience as an IT Business Analyst, Business Systems Analyst, Systems Analyst, or in a similar role.

• Experience working on IT projects within banking, financial services, fintech, lending, payments, or other financial technology environments is highly preferred.

• Strong knowledge of requirements elicitation, business process modeling, gap analysis, and functional requirements documentation.

• Hands-on experience preparing BRDs, FSDs, use cases, user stories, process flowcharts, and other IT Business Analyst deliverables.

• Experience supporting SIT, UAT, test case preparation, defect tracking, and business validation.

• Strong stakeholder management, communication, facilitation, and problem-solving skills.

• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum or Waterfall project delivery methodologies.

• Working knowledge of tools such as Jira, Confluence, Microsoft Visio, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Office applications.

• Ability to translate complex business requirements into clear and structured technical documentation.
