IT Business Partner – Back Office

The IT Business Partner acts as the primary liaison between Group Technology (GT) and the Back Office Business Units at Hong Leong Bank Berhad (HLBB). This role functions as a dedicated account manager responsible for aligning technology strategy with business objectives, driving operational innovation, and ensuring the delivery of technology solutions that enable business growth and backend efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the main point of contact and trusted technology advisor for the Back Office Business Units

• Translate business objectives into actionable, business-specific technology roadmaps aimed at enhancing operational efficiency

• Partner with Enterprise Architecture to ensure solutions align with bank standards, and oversee technology capacity planning to meet current and future business demands

• Collaborate with HR on resource planning, career mobility, and talent development for the technology team supporting the business

About you

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field

• 10+ years of technology leadership experience within the Financial Services Industry (FSI) or closely related sectors

• Strong understanding of FSI products, back-office operations, regulatory requirements, and compliance standards

• Experience managing large-scale technology projects, budgets, vendors, and contract negotiations

• Solid grasp of technology governance and risk management frameworks

• Ability to effectively translate business needs into technical solutions and communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences

• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices
