IT Business Systems Analyst

We are seeking an experienced and business-focused IT Business Systems Analyst to join our team at our Smithfield site.

Reporting to the IT Applications Manager, you’ll work closely with business stakeholders, process owners, vendors and IT teams to support, improve and optimise our ERP, business applications, workflows, data and system integrations.

About the role

This is a varied, business-facing role where you’ll act as the link between the business and IT. You’ll help understand business challenges, identify opportunities for improvement and deliver technology solutions that make processes more efficient, reliable and user-friendly.

You’ll be responsible for:

• Business partnering: Work with stakeholders across Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Distribution, Finance, Customer Service, Sales, HR and Operations to understand requirements, identify issues and prioritise improvements.

• ERP & application support: Own the day-to-day support of key business applications, troubleshoot issues, manage ServiceNow tickets and coordinate resolutions with IT teams and vendors.

• Process & workflow improvement: Analyse existing processes and design improved workflows, approvals and automation to simplify and standardise how the business operates.

• Systems enhancements: Manage small-to-medium system improvements from gathering requirements and configuration through to testing, implementation and post-go-live support.

• Data & reporting: Analyse business data, investigate discrepancies and support reporting and decision-making using tools such as SQL and Power BI.

• Systems integrations: Monitor and support data flows and integrations between the ERP, workflow platforms, reporting tools and third-party applications.

• Testing & change: Coordinate user acceptance testing, release activities, documentation and communication to ensure new solutions are successfully adopted.

• Stakeholder & vendor management: Work closely with local and global IT teams, business users and external vendors to resolve issues and deliver improvements.

About you

We’re looking for an experienced IT professional with:

• 5+ years' experience in a Business Systems Analyst, Systems Analyst, Application Analyst, Business Analyst or similar role

• Strong experience supporting ERP and enterprise business applications

• Excellent stakeholder engagement and business partnering skills

• Strong business process analysis, problem-solving and requirements gathering capabilities

• Experience with data analysis, reporting, system integrations and application testing

• Ability to translate business requirements into practical technology solutions

• Experience with SQL, Power BI, Microsoft Power Platform, APIs, ETL, SSRS/SSIS or ERP implementations will be highly regarded
