IT DATA CENTER ENGINEER – DATA CENTER

Salary: ฿40,000 – ฿60,000 per month

Our client is a fast-growing technology company specializing in high-performance AI infrastructure and computing solutions. The company develops and operates advanced GPU-powered data center infrastructure, providing scalable computing capacity to support AI development, large-scale workloads, and enterprise applications. With a growing presence across Southeast Asia, the company is focused on expanding access to next-generation AI technology and building reliable, high-performance computing infrastructure for the future.

The Onsite IT Engineer will be responsible for supporting the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and inventory management of servers, GPU systems, network equipment, and cabling at data center sites in Bangkok and nearby areas. The role involves performing physical hardware installations, basic diagnostics, component replacements, cable management, and asset tracking while coordinating with remote technical teams and onsite service partners.

Key responsibilities

• Install, rack, relocate, and remove servers and network equipment; inspect, label, photograph, and verify hardware, power, and connectivity.

• Install, organize, label, and troubleshoot copper, fiber-optic, and power cabling, verifying routes, port assignments, and connections.

• Manage hardware, spare parts, cables, tools, and consumables, maintaining accurate inventory, asset location, stock movement, and replenishment records.

• Track equipment serial numbers, deployments, replacements, deliveries, and RMA cases through closure.

• Perform basic server and GPU diagnostics and authorized hardware replacements using Linux commands and BMC interfaces, following technical guidance and ESD, vendor, and warranty procedures.

• Respond to onsite incidents and coordinate troubleshooting, equipment handovers, repairs, and deliveries with remote teams, data center operators, suppliers, and service partners.

• Follow SOPs and safety and access procedures; document faults, actions, test results, and site conditions, provide shift handovers, and ensure issues are tracked through resolution.

Qualifications:

• High school Diploma or Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Management or related field required.

• 1-3 year of hands-on experience in IT operations, data center support, server, or network deployment, structured cabling or technical support in a Data Center environment.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills in both Thai and English.

• Demonstrated hands-on skills in rack installation, cabling, basic server checks and component replacement.

• Able to follow SOPs and remote guidance using Linux commands and BMC consoles.

• Responsible and dependable, with accurate asset and task records.

• Based in Bangkok or nearby; available for onsite work and rotating day and night shifts.

• Strong understanding of data cabling and patching.

• Strong organizational, time management, and analytical skills.
