IT Executive
Summary
An IT Executive joins a two-person internal IT team at Penanshin, supporting a 200-person organization: day-to-day user support, systems administration (Microsoft 365/Azure, MDM for ~300 devices), cybersecurity (MFA, zero trust, endpoint protection), backups, and vendor/asset management under an IT Manager.
Salary: $2,800 – $3,500 per month
About the role:
We are seeking an experienced and proactive IT Executive to join our two-person IT team and support the IT Manager in managing and maintaining our IT infrastructure, user support operations, and security environment across a 200-person organization.
This is a hands-on role that will work closely with the IT Manager on day-to-day IT operations, systems administration, network reliability, cloud management, endpoint security, and IT projects.

Key responsibilities:
1. IT Operations & User Support (35%)
Provide day-to-day IT support to users and ensure prompt resolution of IT-related issues and requests.
Follow established IT helpdesk procedures, escalation workflows, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Balance daily user support requirements with ongoing IT projects, system upgrades, and maintenance activities.
2. Infrastructure & Systems Administration (35%)
Support the maintenance of company-wide IT infrastructure, identity management (e.g., Azure AD / Entra ID, Microsoft 365), and cloud/SaaS tools.
Manage remote endpoint management (MDM) for approximately 300 devices, including laptops, mobile devices, hardware provisioning, and deprovisioning.
Support reliable data backup routines, business continuity, and disaster recovery readiness (3-2-1 backup strategy).
3. Cybersecurity & Compliance (20%)
Implement and maintain corporate cybersecurity standards, including MFA deployment, zero-trust policies, endpoint protection, and patch management.
Assist with regular security reviews, vulnerability assessments, and user access audits.
Support the IT Manager in handling technical escalations and responding to cybersecurity incidents or threats.
4. Vendor & Asset Management (10%)
Coordinate with IT vendors on hardware procurement, software licensing, ISP/SaaS service agreements, and technical support matters.
Maintain a central IT asset register, including hardware lifecycle tracking, software subscriptions, and maintenance schedules.
Requirements:
Minimum 3–5 years of hands-on experience in IT infrastructure, system administration, or technical support.
Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, System Engineering, or equivalent.
Proficiency in Windows/macOS endpoint management.
Hands-on experience with cloud environments (Microsoft 365, Azure, AWS, or Google Workspace).
Strong understanding of networking concepts, including VPNs, firewalls, DNS, routers, switches, and zero-trust remote access.
Fluency in English, both spoken and written.
Self-motivated and able to work independently in a small IT team, with strong troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities.
Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical teams
