The Opportunity
Datamars is looking for an experienced IT Infrastructure & Security Specialist to join our APAC IT team. This is a hands-on role responsible for maintaining and improving our infrastructure, cloud platforms, security systems, and core business technologies across New Zealand, Australia, and the wider APAC region.
You'll combine infrastructure administration, cybersecurity, project work, and advanced technical support, helping ensure our technology environment remains secure, reliable, and scalable. Reporting to the IT Infrastructure and Security Manager APAC, you'll work closely with regional and global IT teams to support critical systems, deliver technology improvements, and contribute to infrastructure and security initiatives across the business.
Key Responsibilities
Support and maintain server, network, cloud, and infrastructure environments.
Administer Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Azure AD, Teams, and SharePoint.
Manage and support cloud and virtualisation platforms, including Azure, AWS, VMware, and Nutanix.
Provide Level 3 technical support and issue resolution across New Zealand and Australia.
Support cybersecurity, backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity activities.
Contribute to infrastructure upgrades, system implementations, and IT projects.
Maintain technical documentation and work with vendors and stakeholders to deliver effective solutions.
About You
To be successful in this role, you'll bring:
Experience in infrastructure, systems administration, or senior IT support roles.
Strong Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and Azure AD experience.
Knowledge of networking, firewalls, routing, and switching.
Experience with cloud and virtualisation technologies.
Backup and disaster recovery experience, with Veeam highly regarded.
Strong troubleshooting, communication, and customer service skills.
A proactive approach and the ability to manage competing priorities.
IT qualification or equivalent industry experience and a full New Zealand driver's licence.
