About the Role

Eshratex is looking for an experienced IT Specialist to join our team and manage and optimize our IT infrastructure across our Sultan Hussein Head Office and Borg El Arab Factory.

The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of IT experience, including 1–2 years in a manufacturing or heavy industrial environment, with strong hands-on expertise in infrastructure, cybersecurity, ERP systems, networking, and database administration.

You will play a key role in ensuring the reliability, security, scalability, and integration of our technology environment while working closely with internal teams and external technology partners.

Key Responsibilities

Cybersecurity & IT Resilience

  • Implement and continuously improve a Zero Trust security architecture across the organization.

  • Manage and monitor firewalls, network security, access controls, and other cybersecurity solutions.

  • Identify and mitigate IT security risks and vulnerabilities.

  • Develop and maintain IT resilience, backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity processes.

  • Ensure compliance with internal security policies and industry best practices.

ERP & OT Integration

  • Oversee the optimization and administration of the company's SAP ERP environment.

  • Ensure SAP integrates effectively with relevant business functions and departmental systems.

  • Support the integration of IT and Operational Technology (OT) environments within the manufacturing facility.

  • Identify opportunities to improve business processes through technology and automation.

  • Collaborate with business and operations teams to understand system requirements and resolve technical issues.

IT Infrastructure & Scalability

  • Manage and maintain the organization's IT infrastructure across the head office and factory.

  • Ensure the availability, performance, and scalability of servers, networks, systems, and related infrastructure.

  • Manage and optimize SD-WAN and enterprise networking solutions.

  • Monitor system performance and proactively address infrastructure issues.

  • Support the deployment and maintenance of hardware, software, and network infrastructure.

Database Administration

  • Manage and maintain SQL databases, including performance monitoring, backups, security, and troubleshooting.

  • Ensure database availability, integrity, and reliability.

  • Support business applications that depend on SQL-based databases.

Vendor & Technology Management

  • Manage relationships with hardware vendors, software providers, and technology partners.

  • Evaluate technology solutions and make recommendations based on business requirements.

  • Negotiate with vendors to ensure competitive pricing, service quality, and appropriate SLAs.

  • Monitor vendor performance and ensure systems achieve a target of 99.9% availability.

Business Communication & Support

  • Translate complex technical and cybersecurity risks into clear business impacts and recommendations.

  • Work closely with management and different departments to understand technology needs.

  • Provide timely technical support and communicate IT issues and solutions effectively.

  • Prepare reports and recommendations regarding infrastructure, cybersecurity, and technology improvements.

Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field.

Experience

  • 3+ years of professional IT experience.

  • At least 1–2 years of experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or heavy industrial environment.

  • Hands-on experience managing IT infrastructure across multiple locations is preferred.

Technical Skills

  • Strong knowledge of firewall management and network security.

  • Hands-on experience with SD-WAN and enterprise networking.

  • Strong knowledge of SQL database administration.

  • Experience with SAP ERP and enterprise system integration.

  • Understanding of IT/OT integration within manufacturing environments.

  • Knowledge of Zero Trust security principles and architecture.

  • Familiarity with backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions.

  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Soft Skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills.

  • Ability to translate technical concepts into clear business requirements and risks.

  • Strong vendor-management and negotiation skills.
