IT Infrastructure Senior Engineer (up to staff level)
Salary: RM 7,000 – RM 8,500 per month
About the role
Design, configure, and maintain enterprise LAN/WAN, SD-WAN, routing, switching, load balancing solutions and comprehensive wireless networks management, with emphasis on managing Ubiquiti infrastructure and controllers. Act as the definitive escalation point during severe outages, driving rapid troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and IT infrastructure service restoration.
Key responsibilities
Design, configure, and maintain enterprise LAN/WAN, SD-WAN, routing, switching, load balancing solutions and comprehensive wireless networks management, with emphasis on managing Ubiquiti infrastructure and controllers
Oversee administration, provisioning, and lifecycle management of physical hardware, virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V), and cloud environments (AWS, Google), encompassing both Windows and Linux operating systems
Implement, audit, and manage strict security protocols, including firewalls, VPNs, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and zero-trust architectures
Develop scripts (PowerShell, Python, Bash) to automate deployments and system monitoring
Architect and test robust backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity plans while ensuring infrastructure complies with industry security standards
Act as the definitive escalation point during severe outages, driving rapid troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and IT infrastructure service restoration
Lead end-to-end infrastructure projects and continuous improvement initiatives, managing system upgrades, technology rollouts, and strategic optimizations
Oversee design, installation, integration, and lifecycle maintenance of Extra Low Voltage (ELV) systems, specifically focusing on enterprise IP CCTV, video management systems (VMS), and physical access control systems
