IT Intern

The IT Intern directly contributes to the success of the company by providing additional IT support to the managed services team. The managed services team is responsible for providing post-sales support to Choice Cloud business customers who have managed services contracts/agreements. Services range from monitoring hardware to fully managed solutions encompassing any or all of the following technologies: VPN, Citrix, router protocols, firewall monitoring, physical and virtual backup systems management, O365 management and hosting.

The IT Intern will gain hands-on experience working with various technologies while working directly alongside IT professionals. Over the course of the summer, this intern will also work on a project relevant to business needs and give a final presentation on the project at the conclusion of the internship. This is a temporary, seasonal position for the summer of 2027 and is open to rising seniors in college or those who have obtained their degree. Expected pay will be $15.00 to $17.00 per hour with the ability to work up to 40 hours per week at our headquarters in Overland Park, KS. This is an on-site position, starting Tuesday, May 25, 2027 and lasting until Friday, August 6, 2027.

Responsibilities:

• Work through a project that involves interacting with other engineers and software such as Zabbix, GitLab, ControlUp, etc. and will provide meaningful value back to the business
• Support managed services team in maintaining hardware, software, applications, and other systems for customers
• Assist in troubleshooting and provide technical support to customers
• Document and provide detailed notes for customer tickets
• Interact with all other managed services teams, as well as security, DevOps, and networking, and higher tiered support
