The Role

You will be the hands-on IT engineer for our Singapore office, reporting to the IT Manager. You will run day-to-day IT: setting up and supporting devices, administering our SaaS and identity environment, maintaining our on-prem server room, keeping assets and licences accurate, and automating repetitive work. This is an individual contributor role in a small team. It is corporate workplace IT, not a software or cloud engineering role.

What You’ll Do

On the ground

  • Onboard new hires: prepare and enrol laptops and phones, create accounts, set up access and get them working on day one.
  • Offboard leavers: collect laptops and other devices, revoke access, wipe and restock devices, and update records.
  • Support colleagues in person and remotely, taking each incident through to resolution.

Devices and security

  • Deploy and manage company laptops (macOS, Windows) and phones (iOS, Android) through our MDM (VMware Workspace ONE).
  • Carry out basic physical upkeep of our 12 on-prem servers in the server room.
  • Enforce encryption, patching, EDR and compliance policies.

SaaS, identity and licences

  • Manage user access and provisioning through our in-house SSO and our SaaS tools [M365 / Google Workspace / Lark / Zoom: confirm], including MFA and role-based access.
  • Run licence audits and manage SaaS subscriptions, including enterprise AI tools (e.g. Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini).

Assets and procurement

  • Keep an accurate, auditable inventory of IT assets across their full lifecycle.
  • Run procurement: gather requirements, source vendors, get quotations and follow orders through to delivery.

Office IT

  • Maintain Wi-Fi access points, switches, firewalls, VPN and meeting-room AV.

Process and automation

  • Work to ITSM processes and SLAs, and write SOPs.
  • Collect evidence for ISO 27001-aligned audits.
  • Automate onboarding, provisioning and other repeat tasks with low-code tools, APIs or scripts.

What You Bring

  • 2+ years of full-time experience in IT operations, systems administration or endpoint support, including hands-on work with MDM, SSO and MFA, and licences or assets. Internship experience alone does not count.
  • Working proficiency in Mandarin is required, as the role involves liaising with IT counterparts in China who communicate in Mandarin.
  • Hands-on experience with an MDM platform (we use VMware Workspace ONE; Intune, Jamf or similar experience transfers), including patching and endpoint security.
  • Experience with SSO, MFA, RBAC, provisioning and licence management.
  • Comfort with ITSM, SLAs, incident ownership, escalation and documentation.
  • Networking basics: TCP/IP, DNS, VLANs and VPN.
  • Willingness to do physical, on-site work such as device handovers and equipment moves.

Nice to have

  • Administering enterprise AI tools.
  • Scripting in PowerShell, Python or Apps Script.
  • Experience supporting ISO 27001 audits.

How We Work

We are a small team and priorities shift. In the same week you may handle an onboarding, a security patch, a vendor quote and an automation. We expect you to take an issue from report to resolution without being chased, and to keep people informed until it is closed. You will work with IT counterparts in China, in Mandarin as well as English.

What Success Looks Like

  • Colleagues get secure, working devices and access on day one, with minimal friction.
  • Assets, licences and access stay accurate and audit-ready.
  • Repetitive IT tasks are steadily identified and automated.
  • Every IT issue is owned end to end, and the requester knows the outcome.
