The Project Manager will be responsible for managing Information Technology projects from initiation to completion. The ideal candidate should have 2 to 5 years of experience in project management, specifically in IT, and possess Project Management education or certifications. A college degree in Information Technology, Systems, or equivalent is required. Must have strong understanding of managing project scope, schedule, cost and resource management. The candidate should have a solid understanding of the Project Management Institute (PMI) Project Management Body of Knowledge, Agile Methodology plus enjoy managing teams, resolving issues, and communicating project status to leadership.
Responsibilities
- Adheres to Skyworks’s Project Lifecycle Management methodology for all projects, that includes required processes, documentation, and approvals.
- Plan, execute, and close IT projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Scrum Master who oversees data engineering backlog, daily standups, sprint planning, demonstrations and retrospectives.
- Manage scope, schedule, and resource allocation.
- Develop project schedules, identify critical path, estimate at completion and project earned value to measure against scope, schedule, quality, and cost KPIs.
- Identify and manage project risks, issues, and dependencies.
- Lead and motivate project teams, ensuring clear communication and collaboration.
- Monitor project progress and adjust as necessary.
- Balance competing demands of scope, time, cost, quality and resources with differing needs and expectations to meet or exceed customer expectations.
- Update and report on project status every week.
- Communicate project status to stakeholders and leadership.
- Ensure project deliverables meet quality standards and stakeholder expectations.
Business Analysis & Documentation:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and refine project requirements.
- Use tools to document workflows, processes, and decisions, ensuring alignment across teams.
- Support applications design, development, testing and deployment by ensuring there are clear and actionable functional design and technical documentation.
PPM, Azure DevOps Administration & Reporting:
- Configure and maintain ADO boards, backlogs, and Sprints to ensure effective team collaboration and project tracking.
- Build detailed reports and dashboards using ADO or Power BI to provide visibility into team performance and project health.
Team Collaboration & Tools:
- Promote effective use of collaboration tools like PPM, Microsoft Teams and SharePoint.
- Facilitate cross-functional communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Champion a knowledge-sharing culture by maintaining centralized documentation and resources.
Stakeholder Management:
- Act as a liaison between business units and technical teams, ensuring alignment on project goals.
- Present project updates and team performance metrics to leadership and stakeholders.
Required Experience and Skills
- Experience in the semiconductor or manufacturing industry.
- 5-7 years of experience in managing IT projects.
- Project Management education or certifications.
- Knowledgeable working on SAP, Salesforce, SuccessFactors, Camstar, Camline, Eyelit and Promis applications projects a plus.
- College degree in Information Technology, Systems, or related field.
- Understanding of the PMI Project Management Body of Knowledge and Agile Methodology.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Effective communication and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools specifically MS Project.
- Experience working with PowerBI reporting and MS 0365 applications.
