IT Project Manager

Job Description:

• Lead project and portfolio management, ensuring full compliance with banking regulations, internal policies, and procedures.

• Plan, allocate resources, manage timelines, budgets (if applicable), risks, issues, and dependencies to ensure successful delivery of IT initiatives (e.g., infrastructure upgrades, compliance/security remediation, platform modernization).

• Lead infrastructure projects involving VM server management, network segregation management, and cloud or hybrid infrastructure environments.

• Manage server-related delivery activities including capacity planning, patching/upgrade coordination, hardening, vulnerability remediation, and release/change planning, ensuring alignment with operational and security requirements.

• Collaborate with business units, IT teams (Infrastructure, Network, Security, DBA, Application), and vendors to define requirements, manage scope, and communicate progress.

• Ensure strict adherence to bank policies, regulatory standards, governance processes, and documentation requirements (e.g., approvals, change records, implementation plans, evidence collection).

• Promote process optimization and technology upgrades to enhance efficiency and drive continuous improvement.

• Effectively manage stakeholders and report project status, risks, and decisions to all relevant parties (e.g., management committees, governance forums).

• Foster effective teamwork, collaboration, and a positive working environment within project teams.

• Demonstrate adaptability, strong ownership, and a results-oriented mindset in challenging environments.

• Maintain commitment to continuous learning and professional development.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.

• Minimum 5 years of experience in IT project management, preferably within banking or financial services.

• Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (e.g., Waterfall, Agile) and delivery governance.

• Strong understanding of infrastructure/server domains, including (as applicable):

  • Windows Server / Linux / Cloud concepts

  • Virtualization (e.g., VMware) and basic storage/backup concepts

  • Patch management and vulnerability remediation coordination

  • Active Directory / authentication fundamentals (as relevant)

• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and vendor management skills.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Proficiency in English (Japanese/Thai is an advantage, if required).

• Experience with regulatory and compliance-driven projects is a plus.

• Relevant certifications are an advantage (e.g., PMP, ITIL, AWS, Azure, Microsoft/Windows Server, VMware, security-related fundamentals).
