IT PROJECT MANAGER (PLCYPLN)

Summary

Leads cybersecurity project planning and coordination for a government agency, evaluating tech roadmaps, assessing defenses, and briefing leadership on project status.

This position is being recruited under 10 USC 1599f into the Cyber Excepted Service and does NOT convey eligibility to be converted to the Competitive Service. It has been identified as a position necessary to carry out and support the mission of the US Cyber Command. It is in the Professional Work Category at the Expert Work Level within the CES Occupational Structure. It is located in the DISA - DBC/CYBER DEVELOPMENT DIRECTORATE.

As the Technical Director for PAE Cyber, evaluates capability roadmaps for feasibility and alignment, and identifies alternative solutions, new approaches, and emerging technologies or applications.

Serves as a directorate focal point for cross-agency collaboration and coordination to develop, implement, and maintain actionable plans that support the integration, application, and testing of new technologies, systems, and programs.

Assesses existing and future defensive cybersecurity capabilities to determine if they are practical and effective against both current and anticipated threats.

Regularly briefs senior leadership/staff on project status and significant developments.

Serves as an advocate and assists in development of outreach strategies to promote products and services to the various user communities
