IT PROJECT MANAGER (CUSTSPT)

Summary

Oversees IT projects and cybersecurity support for 52,000 government users, managing requirements, procurement, asset tracking, and troubleshooting complex network issues for senior officials.

This position is being recruited under 10 USC 1599f into the Cyber Excepted Service and does NOT convey eligibility to be converted to the Competitive Service. It has been identified as a position necessary to carry out and support the mission of the US Cyber Command. It is in the Professional Work Category at the Full Performance Work Level within the CES Occupational Structure. It is located in the DISA CYBER DEVELOPMENT DIRECTORATE (DKAGAA-ID32).

Oversees support functions and coordinating with teams and industry contractors to resolve end-user issues.

Manages the full lifecycle of IT projects for approximately 52,000 customers, including requirement capture, project planning, execution, and quality assurance.

Validates customer IT requirements, assisting with equipment procurement, and coordinating project cost capturing and billing.

Provides prioritized IT support for senior-ranking officials, special projects, and resolving difficult or complex local area network problems.

Serves as the Branch property hand receipt holder and utilizing the Defense Property Accountability System (DPAS) to inventory and manage government IT assets.
