IT Project Senior Analyst

The IT Project Senior Analyst supports the global PMO Governance team by tracking project management standards, analyzing project data, and ensuring compliance. Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented PM Analyst to join our global PMO Governance team. This is an excellent opportunity in program and project management, governance, and process improvement within the Technology or Financial industry. In this fast-paced environment, you will prioritize tasks, work collaboratively, and support critical reporting and tracking of Project Management standards. You will be a key player in ensuring our projects adhere to the highest standards of quality and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with global PMOs and other teams to support adherence to Project Management standards.

  • Assist in analyzing scorecards and project management data to identify trends, risks, and areas for improvement.

  • Support the facilitation and organization of global meetings by preparing materials, taking minutes, and tracking action items.

  • Help prepare and provide evidence of compliance for internal reviews and audits.

  • Produce detailed documentation based on conclusions drawn from governance oversight activities.

  • Contribute to the identification of opportunities for process improvement, automation, and efficiency.

  • Formally document new and existing processes to ensure alignment with enterprise expectations.

  • Learn and apply risk assessment principles in all business decisions, demonstrating consideration for the firm's reputation and compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations.

  • Demand/Intake Governance: Data quality governance of elements impacting Investment Request during demand/intake process.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to refine and clearly document desired project outcomes and success metrics.

  • Support Project Managers in the process of linking approved Investment Requests to formal Work Efforts (WEs), a critical step in moving projects to a "committed" and funded state.

  • Guidance on Investment Request processes and ensuring adherence to established guidelines.

Qualifications & Experience

  • 8 years of relevant experience in project management, business analysis, process improvement, or a related field.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset, with an ability to work effectively in a team setting.

  • Excellent organizational, time management, and presentation skills.

  • Keen attention to detail and the ability to maintain well-organized records.

  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with a data-driven and results-oriented approach.

  • Based understanding of financials and benefit identification and tracking.

  • Demonstrated ability to work on assigned tasks with minimal supervision and manage concurrent deliverables.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Advanced Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, data analysis), is required.

  • Experience with Investment@Citi, PTS, and Project Management methodologies is preferred.

  • Understanding and experience with Artificial Intelligence (AI) concepts and applications is a plus.

  • Identify and communicate at risk or emerging themes related to the PMO and recommend controls to prevent future issues.

  • Experience in facilitating meetings

Education

  • Bachelor’s/University degree is required.

  • Lean, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodology experience is a plus.

  • CAPM (Certified Associate in Project Management) certification is preferred but not required. PMP is not expected for this level.
