We are looking for a tech-savvy and motivated IT Service Desk Intern to join our lT Infrastructure team for a 5 to 6-month placement. In this role, you will be the hands-on, first line of technical assistance for our employees, ensuring their hardware, software, and tools work seamlessly every day.

Working from our office, you will gain practical exposure to enterprise IT operations, ticket management, local networking, and workspace deployments. You will be paired with experienced IT specialists who will guide you through system administration tasks, providing a solid foundation for a career in IT support, system administration, or infrastructure engineering.

Responsibilities

  • On-site Hardware & Desk Support: Provide immediate, face-to-face assistance for workstation issues, laptop setups, monitors, printers, conference room hardware systems, and peripherals.

  • First-Line Ticket Resolution: Manage incoming help desk tickets and inquiries, troubleshooting issues related to macOS, office applications, and local connectivity (LAN/Wi-Fi/VPN).

  • Device Provisioning & Deployment: Prepare, image, and configure laptops and devices for new hires, and process returned hardware following secure offboarding workflows.

  • Identity & Access Management: Assist with day-to-day user administration including password resets, account provisioning, group assignments, and multi-factor authentication (MFA) setups.

  • Asset Tracking & Inventory: Keep accurate logs of IT hardware, monitor stock levels for cables and accessories, and assist with physical asset audits.

  • Documentation: Help write and maintain step-by-step end-user visual guides for common technical issues to support self-service learning across the organization.

Requirements

  • Education: Currently enrolled in a relevant educational program (MBO level ¾ or HBO Information Technology, Computer Science, System Administration, or related fields) in the Netherlands.

  • Availability: Available for an on-site internship for a period of 5 to 6 months and for a minimum of 4 days per week

  • Language Skills: Excellent written and spoken English (English is the primary working language for this role).

  • Core Technical Knowledge: Basic familiarity with operating systems (Windows 10/11, macOS), cloud tools (Microsoft 365, Google Workspace), and general IT networking fundamentals (IPs, routers, switches).

  • Problem-Solving & Attitude: Curious, eager to learn, and ready to get hands-on with hardware and troubleshooting.

  • Service Mindset: Strong interpersonal skills with a helpful, patient approach when assisting colleagues with varying levels of technical knowledge.
