IT SPECIALIST (APPSW)

Senior specialist performing in-depth analysis of automated and manual systems to accomplish requirements, design, coding, and testing assignments which integrate the activities of multiple specialty areas to meet customer requirements.

Analyzes and studies systems and system change requests in order to develop or modify information systems and develops system changes based on customer requirements, including coding program modules in various programming languages.

Suggests technically feasible approaches to projects and makes recommendations regarding the effective and efficient information technology approaches. Writes and reviews technical requirements for projects and reviews proposals for system changes.

Develops new or modifies existing program layouts, interrelationships, sequences, and internal logic. Tests to ensure programs meet approved security requirements. Designs user interfaces and integrates hardware and software components.

Supports integrated testing efforts by reviewing test scripts and resolving application issues discovered by testers.
