IT SPECIALIST (INFOSEC)
Summary
Provides cybersecurity oversight, implements security controls, and evaluates compliance for government IT systems supporting US Cyber Command.
This position is being recruited under 10 USC 1599f into the Cyber Excepted Service and does NOT convey eligibility to be converted to the Competitive Service. It has been identified as a position necessary to carry out and support the mission of the US Cyber Command. It is in the Professional Work Category at the Senior Work Level within the CES Occupational Structure. It is located in the DISA -CYBER IDENTITY SERVICES SECTION (ID222).
Provides technical support and guidance to staff on IT systems and security operations across the organization.
Implements, maintains, and conducts on-site and remote analyses of information systems and network processing across all levels of information security
Develops methods, standards, and metrics to monitor and measure risk, compliance, and assurance efforts for information systems.
Evaluates cybersecurity frameworks, policies, and guidelines to deliver objective technical analysis and recommendations to agency leadership.
