Position Summary

The IT Support Assistant provides day-to-day support for computers, user accounts, our network, and technology operations across Bluebird Kids Health. This is an entry-level position designed for individuals seeking to begin a career in Information Technology. The role focuses on device preparation, user onboarding, inventory management, and first-level technical support under the direction of the IT Manager.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and deploy laptops, Chromebooks, tablets, and mobile devices

• Reset, image, and configure computers

• Create user accounts and assist with onboarding activities

• Process equipment shipments, returns, and asset tracking

• Maintain inventory records and equipment assignments

• Troubleshoot common hardware, software, printer, and connectivity issues

• Respond to routine help desk requests using documented procedures

• Assist with clinic technology deployments and office moves

• Create and maintain IT documentation and knowledge base articles

• Escalate complex issues as appropriate

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required

• Technical school coursework, A+ certification, or related training preferred

• Basic knowledge of computer hardware and Windows operating systems

• Strong communication and customer service skills

• Ability to learn new technologies quickly

• Reliable transportation for Local travel to BBK locations

• Ability to lift and move computer equipment

• Must be able to lift and carry 80lbs
