IT Support / Desktop Support Engineer (L1)
Salary: $2,800 – $3,200 per month
We are looking for an IT Support / Desktop Support Engineer to provide day-to-day technical support to end users and customer environments.
This role is suitable for candidates with hands-on IT support experience who enjoy troubleshooting, working with users and developing their technical skills.
Key Responsibilities
Provide first-level technical support for end users.
Troubleshoot desktops, laptops, printers and other peripheral devices.
Support Windows operating systems and Microsoft 365 applications.
Assist with user accounts, password resets and access permissions using Active Directory.
Troubleshoot email, network connectivity, Wi-Fi and VPN issues.
Install and configure computers, software applications and endpoint devices.
Support employee onboarding and offboarding activities.
Perform basic system updates, patching and endpoint checks.
Maintain IT asset and support documentation.
Log, update and resolve incidents through the ticketing system.
Escalate more complex technical issues to L2 or senior engineers when required.
Requirements
1–2 years of IT Support, Desktop Support, Helpdesk or similar experience preferred.
Hands-on experience supporting Windows desktops/laptops.
Familiarity with Microsoft 365 applications.
Basic knowledge of Active Directory user administration.
Basic understanding of networking such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Wi-Fi and VPN.
Good troubleshooting and problem-solving ability.
Comfortable communicating with end users and providing customer support.
Able to work independently as well as part of a technical team.
Candidates with solid L1 / Desktop Support experience who are looking to develop further into systems and infrastructure support are encouraged to apply.
