IT Support Technician Level 1/2
Summary
Level 1/2 IT Support Technician at a managed IT services provider, working in person in Torquay. Day to day: desktop and printer support, networking and Office 365 troubleshooting for SMB clients, ticket logging, routine maintenance, and security guidance, using Windows, Mac OS, Azure, and RMM/PSA tools.
Salary: £26,000 - 28,000 per year
Requirements:- Proven experience providing technical support in a desktop environment, minimum 1 year
- Strong knowledge of operating systems, including Windows and Mac OS, and computer networking principles
- Familiarity with DNS, TCP/IP protocols, firewalls, and network troubleshooting techniques
- Familiarity with configuring and troubleshooting Office 365 services
- Proficiency in using ticket management and RMM tools is advantageous
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical clients
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Full driving licence
- Relevant certifications in IT support or networking would be beneficial but are not mandatory
- Technical support experience: 1 year required
- Provide comprehensive desktop support for hardware and software issues across various operating systems, including Mac OS
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to desktops, printers, networking, and Office 365 environments
- Assist users with technical inquiries and provide guidance on using IT resources effectively
- Maintain accurate records of support requests using our PSA ticketing system
- Collaborate with other IT team members to enhance system performance and client satisfaction
- Conduct routine maintenance checks on IT equipment and ensure all systems are up to date
