Summary
An IT Support Technician providing day-to-day helpdesk and desktop support to end users: troubleshooting Windows OS, hardware, peripherals and networking issues, and supporting Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Entra (Azure AD) environments. On-site role in Telford paying £29,000–£38,000 per year.
Salary: £29,000 - 38,000 per year
Requirements:- Previous experience in an IT Support, Helpdesk, Desktop Support, or similar IT role
- Good knowledge of Windows operating systems, hardware, peripherals, and networking fundamentals
- Minimum of 5 GCSEs or equivalent, including English and Maths
- Experience supporting Microsoft 365 environments
- Knowledge of Microsoft Entra (Azure AD)
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to support users with varying technical abilities
- Ability to prioritise workloads and manage multiple support requests effectively
- Methodical and logical approach to fault-finding
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive attitude
- Act as the first point of contact for IT support requests across the business
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues in a timely manner
- Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, operating systems, and applications
- Monitor and support IT systems, networks, and user devices
- Set up new user accounts, profiles, and system access permissions
- Support password resets and user access issues
- Assist with the rollout and implementation of new software and technologies
- Replace hardware components and carry out basic repairs when required
- Maintain accurate IT documentation and knowledge base resources
- Support users remotely and face-to-face, explaining technical issues clearly
