IT System Administrator

Position Summary

Bland Landscaping Company is seeking an experienced IT Systems Administrator to support technology operations for approximately 1,000 - 2,000 employees across multiple locations. Working closely with the Director of IT and our external managed services partner. This role focuses on Tier 2 support, systems administration, endpoint management, technology asset lifecycle management, mobile device management (MDM), business system administration, vendor management, and IT process improvement.

This position is not a traditional Tier 1 Help Desk role. Routine support and triage are primarily handled by our external managed services partner, allowing this role to focus on escalated technical support, device deployments, systems administration, inventory management, process documentation, vendor relationships, and strategic technology initiatives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Systems Administration & Endpoint Management

• Administer and support Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, Azure, Intune, and related Microsoft technologies.

• Manage user accounts, licenses, security groups, permissions, and access controls.

• Support endpoint management, mobile device management (MDM), and Microsoft Autopilot deployments.

• Maintain device standards, security policies, system configurations, and technical documentation.

• Work with our external managed services partner to resolve escalated technical issues and maintain service expectations.

Technology Asset & Mobility Management

• Manage the complete lifecycle of company technology assets, including computers, mobile devices, peripherals, and related equipment.

• Coordinate procurement, configuration, deployment, inventory tracking, recovery, redeployment, and retirement of assets.

• Administer mobile device programs, vendor relationships, carrier services, security compliance, and asset tracking.

• Maintain accurate inventory records and continuously improve asset management processes.

Tier 2 Support & Business Systems Administration

• Serve as the primary internal resource for escalated user support and advanced technical troubleshooting.

• Resolve complex workstation, application, mobile device, and account management issues.

• Serve as the primary administrator for BossLM and Great Plains Dynamics, including user access, permissions, system support, and vendor coordination

• Identify recurring issues and implement long-term solutions that improve user experience and operational efficiency.

Vendor Management, Projects & Continuous Improvement

• Manage relationships with technology vendors, service providers, and software partners.

• Coordinate licensing, procurement, support escalations, and vendor performance.

• Develop and maintain IT policies, procedures, standards, and documentation.

• Support technology projects, software implementations, hardware refreshes, acquisitions, branch expansions, and infrastructure improvements.

• Research and recommend technology solutions that improve efficiency, security, and scalability.
